SUSSEX University seeks collaboration with NOUN
The University of Sussex Pro-Chancellor Professor Micheal Davies today led a powerful delegation to the National Open University were they seek ways of mutual collaboration with the biggest Open and Distance Learning university in West Africa, and to also meet with the Alumni of their university.

According to Professor Davies, their visit will be beneficial to both institutions exploring the open and distance learning to reach out to Africa.
In his remarks, vice chancellor of the National Open University, Professor Abdalla Uba Adamu said, as a distance learning institution with so many outreach, the National Open University will be able to explore means for Sussex university outreach.
"We already have a similar collaboration with Commonwealth of Learning, COL, so you're home. This will work a lot better where there is a framework of what your collaboration looks like", he said.
Professor Abdalla Uba Adamu took time to present a vivid description of what the COL collaboration is.
He assured officials of the University of Sussex the readiness of the National Open University to partner in the best possible ways to promote education and learning across.
The university of Sussex team include Director of International Recruitment and Development, Professor Richard Follett, Regional Officer for West Africa, Mrs Ify Udofia, and senior International Officer for Africa and the Middle East, Tosin Adebisi.
On the Noun team were the deputy vice chancellor Academics, Professsor Patrick Eya, Deputy vice chancellor Administration, Professor Victor Adedife; University Registrar, Mr Felix Edoka, University Librarian, Dr Adam Saleh.
Others are Director Academic Planning, Professor Nebarth Tanglang; Director Learner Support Services, Professor Stanley Ngoa; Acting Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies, Dr Mande Samaila; Dean Faculty of Arts, Professor Godwin Akper; Director, Management Information Systems, Dr Mukhtar Alhassan and his ICT counterpart, Dr Madu Galadima.
